Biochemical action of D-araboflavin on the rat was studied, and following results were obtained : (1) D-Araboflavin, administered orally in the dosis of 10μg per day, had neither growth supporting effect nor riboflavin deficiency inducing effect on rats. (2) Perhaps D-araboflavin may convert to the ester types, but the ester types of D-araboflavin have not co-enzymatic activity of the flavin enzyme.
