The serum vitamin B_<12> contents of patients with various cancers were almost within the normal range. Total vitamin B_<12> tended to decline with decrease in the number of red corpuscle and hemoglobin concentration. Patients with hepato-cholecystic disorders showed generally higher values of serum vitamin B_<12> content, especially in its free type. Among the patients with cancer and hepato-cholecystic disorder, those whose liver functions were disturbed generally showed a higher serum vitamin B_<12> content than those with normal liver function.
