A slight increase of pyridoxal was observed while pyridoxine+pyridoxamine and pyridoxic acid remained constant in the organs and blood measured every five day after administration of ACTH and cortisone to the normal rat. The amounts of pyridoxal, pyridoxine+pyridoxamine and pyridoxic acid underwent no change when ACTH and cortisone were administrated to the hypophysectomized rat. From the above, ACTH and cortisone were supposed to accelerate the transformation of pyridoxine to pyridoxal.
