The effects of four inorganic salts at 10^<-4>, 10^<-3> and 10^<-2> M on the new flavin monophosphate producing activity of Rhizopus oryzae were investigated. When they were added in the reaction mixture, 10^<-4>, 10^<-3> and 10^<-2>M NiSO_4,and 10^<-4> or 10^<-3> M CuSO_4 showed stimulative effects after 24 hours reaction, but Fe_2 (SO_4)_3 inhibited the activity at any concentration. Only 10^<-4> M of NiSO_4,added in culture medium, showed the stimulation. Fe_2 (SO_4)_3 inhibited the activity at any procedure, even if under the co-addition of riboflavin.
