METABOLIC ACTIVITES OF NUCLEIC ACIDS IN VITAMIN ACTIVATION : (X) EFFECT OF INOSINATE ON THE ACTIVATION OF THIAMINE DIPHOSPHATE IN YEAST CARBOXYLASE SYSTEM

Abstract

It has previously been studied that the liver pyruvate oxidase system was activated by addition of nucleosides. In the present papar, the effect of inosine-5'-phosphate and 4-amino-5-imidazole carboxamide riboside on the yeast carboxylase system was studied. It was recognized that the addition of the former accelerates the pyruvate decarboxylase activity but the latter has scarcely influence.
