The simplified method with the results of fatigue tests carried out with test specimens, which was proposed on 1st. report, has been applied to assessing the fatigue strength of the continuous fillet welded structural components. In this paper, it was shown that the fatigue strength for the continuous fillet welded joints of the structural components can be assessed using by its local stress distributions, on the basis of the local stress distributions and S-N curves of the basic boxing fillet welded joints specimens, so it is concluded that this method on the basis of the basic boxing fillet welded joints specimens can be utilized to the all type of welded joints with the high tensile residual stress reaching the yield point on it welding toe as the actual structural components.
