It has been confirmed that Noselite may be prepared when both alkali and sodium sulfate are reacted with Na2O·Al2O3·2SiO2 even at 80°C under normal pressure. The rate of crystallization was found to depend on the concentration of the mixture of starting materials and especially the influence by alkali was observed to be much greater than that by sodium sulfate. In the crystallization of Noselite, formation of Zeolite A is taken place initially as an intermediate, and it is then transformed to Noselite. However, Noselite was found to be much more difficult to be transformed from Zeolite A as a starting material, rather than from gel.
