Besides lageracetal, n-amyl alcohol was isolated from the leaves of Lagerstroemia speciosa. The distribution of lageracetal, n-amyl alcohol, and ellagic acid in the leaves of Largerstroemia indica, L. subcostata, and L. fauriei was investigated. Ellagic acid was found in all these plants, while lageracetal was found in them except in L. fauriei, and n-amyl alcohol was found in these plants except L. subcostata.
