The author studied pulsus differ ens applying suctiou to one side of the forearm of normal person. As for the form of pulse curves, the elastic elevation on the side to which suction was applied became smaller than that of the other side in 2〜3 minutes after the begining of suction, the incisura became deeper and decreased the height of its situation, and the backstroke elevation became more distinct than that of the other side. These variations in the form added the degree more and more in 5〜8 minutes after the beginning of suction, therefore the form-difference became very marked. After the end of snction, the form-difference appeared while the application, diminished gradually with progress of time and generally recovered in 5〜8 minutes to the condition which existed before the application. As for the amplitude of pulse curves, the amplitude on the side to which suction was applied became greater than that of the other side in 2〜3 imnutes after the beginning of suction and in 5〜8 minutes the amplitude on the side to which suction was applied increased more and more so that the amplitude-difference became very distinct. But in 10〜12 minutes the amplitude on the side to which suction was applied showed a tendency to decrease in a majority of caces. The course of amplitude-difference after the end of suction can be divided in two groups: in the first group the amplitude on the side to which suction was applied decreased with progress of time, and at last recovered to the codition which existed before the beginning of suction generally in 5〜8 minutes, but in the second group the amplitude on the side to which suction was applied became smaller than that of the other side in 3〜5 minutes after the end of suction, and then recovered to the condition which existed before the beginning of suction.
