There has been widespread acknowledgement and acceptance of the user experience (UX) and the user experience design (UXD) in modern manufacturing and service industries. However, there seem to be several defects in utilizing UXD, due to the lack of appropriate knowledge on the UX and UXD. In this paper, several anti-patterns in UXD, such as the fraudulent UX, the excuse UX, and the self-serving UX are discussed. To avoid these unfortunate situations, some constructive discussions on these issues, considering them as the start point, will be highly expected.
