The author, having long experience as a managing director, offers suggestions from two aspects about the activities of the management quality in order to support the management innovation.
The first aspect is the obligation of managers in the management innovation. The theory is based on the Japan–U.S. comparison in the enactment process of the MB program and the Japan quality program. In conclusion, the author points out important factors to achieve the innovation: managers' enterprises to struggle with management and their competitive and initiative powers. And moreover, to enhance managers' abilities, opportunities of cultivating their minds are essential to accomplish the continuous innovation in Japan.
The second is the reformation of the Japan quality program. There are two approaches for the reformation. The one is the reorganization of the program's scheme and the other is the revision of the program's educational method. In the reorganization process, the scheme should be divided into several types by categories of people who participate in the innovation: Managers, administrators, employees and staff members of the innovation project. In the revision of the educational method, the current lecture–oriented method should be shifted to a practice-oriented method in order to make the cycle of the innovation speed up.
