In this paper, we describe transition cases at the Cryogenics Division of The University of Tsukuba Research Facility Center for Science and Technology. Reviewed are the characteristics of helium liquefaction and recovery systems at Japanese universities, including how they relate to the High Pressure Gas Safety Act, notes on security, information about the Cryogenics engineers study group, a discussion of future prospects.
Mayekawa (MYCOM) started delivering the oil-flooded screw helium compressor in 1974. This was a world's-first. Oil separation technology is very important for the steady operation of helium liquefiers. The method of measuring oil contamination is also important. Mayekawa confirmed the performance of each stage of oil separation using the Oil Check Kit® and cold trap. We also confirmed the accuracy of the Oil Check Kit® by comparing another method.
