This sentence explains from what background is valued the low temperature separation method which is a means of producing the hydrogen for chemical industry, and introduces the plant recently established for recovering the hydrogen gas from the ammonia plant as the above mentioned effective utilizing method.
Then it describes in what procedures the Joule Thomson effect of mixed gases, of which few measured data are available, has been estimated in case of getting the various items composing the heat balance of the plant, and is obtained the vapor-liquid equilibria during the separation process from the operating data.

The propagation of normal region in a superconducting coil was first studied theoretically and experimentally by Steckly. And the theory has been supported by some subsequent experimental works.
A stabilized superconducting coil, such as one made of Cu clad Nb-Ti wire, however, has not yet been investigated in detail on its behavior of protected and unprotected superconducting small coils would with Cu clad Nb-Ti wire. The appearance of coil resistance was mainly investigated of two coils, one of which was divided into five sections of winding. In each coil, the time dependence of the coil resistance was found to be different from Steckly's theory. A new mechanism of the growth of normal region was proposed to explain this phenomenon.
The temperature rise at some points in the coilafter quenching was also measured with Cu-constantan theromo couples inserted into intersections of the windings.

This paper reports the experimental results of the hollow superconducting magnet on which the author worked at Saclay, France.
The race track coil was chosen for the experimantal set-up. The distribution of magnetic field was stricktly calculated. The circuit for supercritic helium was explained. The current density of 7, 000A/cm2 in the hollow conductor could be obtained with the maximum magnetic field of 34KG and the stored energy of 40kj. The flow rate, the pressure drop and the temperature rise were measued and will serve for future design. The author acknowleges for his stay at Saclay.
