Ino observed celestial bodies at about 1220 sites to measure latitudes. These sites are illustrated by star marks on his map of 1:216000. I read 135 coordinates of the sites on the map and corresponding latitudes-longitudes on actual map of Geographical Survey Institute. Using these data, I analyzed map projection method by which the surveyed results were plotted on the map sheet. He applied an equidistant orthogonal coordinate system not only for 1/36000 map but also for 1/216000 map. Therefore or consequently, any vertical lines at right angle to the straight latitude line are not the meridians. The increase rate of longitude on the vertical line should be expressed by 1/cos(latitude).
