If you come into contact with others with dust or animal hair on your clothes, there is a high possibility that you will make the other person develop an allergy or not be able to establish good communication. Therefore, it is necessary to remove dusts and more from your clothes in the morning before going to work or school. However, this process is manual and therefore time-consuming and labour-intensive. To solve this problem, in the past we developed a robot that automatically removes dust from clothes on hangers with a brush. The robot holds and pinches the clothes between two brushes and removes the dust by moving the brushes from top to bottom. It also removes dust from the entire clothes by repeatedly extending the arm with the brush attached and removing the dust. However, this robot could only operate for one garment at a time. In this paper, we develop a robot that can continuously care for multiple clothes with a system and we added a device to this robot that automatically cleans the brushes. First, this robot rotates the hanger rack. Next, use the Kinect camera to look at the front of the brush and stop the rotation of the hanger rack when the clothes come. Third, remove the dust from the clothes in the same way as the previous robot we created. When the removing dust of clothes is finished, the brushes are cleaned. While the robot is running, the user can spend his time doing other things. For example, by using this robot, you can make better use of your valuable morning time for yourself instead of using it to dust your clothes.

In order to prepare for the intrusion from glass panes, it is important to know whether the existing glass pane is crime prevention type or ordinary one, and the degree of penetration resistance does each glass has. However, it is difficult to identify both ordinary and crime prevention type by naked eyes, because there is no clear difference in appearance of both panes. Hence, authors propose two methods: (1) An optical method of identifying ordinary and crime prevention pane, and (2) An optical method of visualizing degree of penetration resistance for glass pane. Our experiments showed that the methods could identify both type of pane and visualize the degree of penetration resistance of window pane by using an optical spectrum.

Looking at recent applications of aluminum die castings, automotive parts account for about 90% of the production volume. Application to parts with high functional requirements, such as automobile undercarriage and body parts, is increasing. However, there are few reports published in Japan on the application of quality engineering to the casting field. There are still unclear points regarding the reduction of internal defects that improve casting quality. In addition, there are no examples of systematic research on casting conditions for stabilization of casting quality with respect to the three elements of productivity indices: high quality(Q),cost reduction(C),and high productivity(D).Therefore ,in this study ,an ideal function was set up using casting weight as a characteristic value ,which can be easily measured .We propose the application of a function evaluation method to evaluate the characteristic value of casting condition that affects casting weight.

Herein, physical evaluation of a mass ionization assist agent prepared using mist deposition method and the visualization of natural occurring poisons in plants were investigated. An -cyano-4-hydroxy-cinnamic acid (CHCA) crystal layers were formed on sliced botanical samples deposited on a glass slide for a mass ionization assist agent of matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization(MALDI) imaging. The formed CHCA crystal layer exhibits a homogeneous surface at nozzle temperatures over 200 ℃, and its chemical stability is confirmed via Raman spectroscopy. -chaconine and -solanine in sample were detected as H+ adduct localized around of root in sliced potato sample using MALDI-fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry and mass spectrometry imaging. Mist deposition method is effective for the mass ionization assist preparation and promising for utilize to visualization of target components in samples.

In recent years, the demand for plastic products has increased, and along with the deepening of academics, mass production, weight reduction, and high precision are progressing. In the fields of design development and production technology, there are many issues related to quality assurance such as molding defects and product strength. In particular, in the resin molding process, there is a high degree of freedom in product shape and mold structure, and it is an important issue to create quality functions that apply analysis of complex multidimensional information. In this study, the important factors of the resin molding process related to the optimization of resin strength are extracted by applying the multivariate analysis method and robust parameter design. As a result of verification of the proposed method, it is clarified that uniformization of the resin filling density in the mold is extremely important for stabilizing the resin strength.

We conduct a questionnaire survey for the historical town development plan of Higashiyamate and Minamiyamate districts of Nagasaki City, and analyze the differences inside and outside the district using the results of the questionnaire survey. The questionnaire survey was conducted by mail, with 900 mailed inside the district and 411 responses, and 1,500 mailed outside the district and 566 responses. A goodness-of-fit analysis is performed to analyze the differences inside and outside the district. As a result of the goodness-of-fit analysis, we considered the factors that showed differences.

We propose a Multi-model CAPTCHA that is composed of one sentence with typo and multiple pictures. This CAPTCHA utilizes human's three abilities (inferring the meaning of the sentence with typo, understanding the meaning of pictures, and linking the meaning of the sentence and corresponding picture), and it is based on a hypothesis, "the longer of the sentence with typo, the time could be longer for a machine to link the meaning of the sentence and corresponding picture (= the shorter of the time of linking, the higher of the probability of human)." We found three findings from our experiment: (1) Examinees were able to link the meaning of the sentence to corresponding picture even there were some pictures with similar composition, (2) Typoglycemia is likely to be appeared on a sentence constructed by short and familiar words, (3) The time for linking was not exponentially increased even the length of the sentence was getting long (= It was not getting difficult for users in this situation).

The development of a low-cost spectrophotometer module and its performance evaluation are described. This module is intended for simple determination of fruit ripeness and is based on the principle of absorbance spectrophotometry in visible light and near-infrared. The module was able to observe absorption maxima in the Soret and Q bands for samples expected to contain chlorophyll, confirming that chlorophyll was sufficiently detectable. In addition, it can be a key device for simple fruit ripeness determination because it is small and can be made at low cost.

In this study, a scissors with equal displacement between pushing handles and cutting blades was proposed. The proposed scissors comprises six parts. The six parts are upper and lower handle parts, upper and lower link parts, and upper and lower blade parts. The proposed scissors is cam and link mechanisms. Specific design methods were showed from the mechanisms. In the design methods, angles of the lower blade part were gotten from relationship between positions of the lower blade, and intersections of the upper and lower blades. Pushing displacement at connections between the handles and frames is equal to cutting displacement at the intersections. Relationship between the angles of the lower blade part, and angles of the upper handle part was gotten. Positions of an upper cam such that relationship of gotten two angles was gotten.
