    As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the U.K. government presents a report with recommendations for advancing to further smoking restrictions by 2030. Like New Zealand, it intends to accelerate the rate of decline in smoking. The U.S. is also reducing the rate of smoking among young people. The 16th Annual Meeting of The Japan Society for Tobacco Control hopes to provide an opportunity to share thoughts of “care” for smoking cessation activities and promotion as well as care for the lifelong non-smoking generation.
