This paper shows the statistical relationships among the electricity generations by wind and solar powers in ten regions of Japan. The electricity generations are simulated using the hourly weather data of Extended AMEDAS 2000. We tried correlational analysis of hourly, daily and monthly powers of wind and solar throughout a year. The result shows that the correlation coefficient is 0.58 between Hokkaido and Tohoku for wind powers, but those among the other adjacent regions are low. The correlational coefficients between wind and solar powers within each region are nearly -0.4 for daily and -0.6 for monthly generation. This means wind and solar powers can be complementary in each regions.
