Recycling of polymers including rubber is an urgent problem from a viewpoint of both environment and economy. We suggest the new material-recycling concept that deteriorated materials can be used as a material with new other functionality. Namely, deteriorated wiper blade showed higher sound absorbing property than that of new one. When compared with glass-wool which is commonly used for sound absorbing material, molded disk of grounded wiper blade rubber showed higher noise absorbing property, especially in the 2000Hz region.
