The purpose of this study is to develop a control system of an arbitrary oxygen (O2) concentration with quick responses and high accurate control.We used Arduino and Processing to create a system. Both of them are very similar to the C language and the knowledge of it learned so far can be utilized.In the control of the electromagnetic valve, a method is adopted in which the setting of the pulse width is determined for each target oxygen concentration.As a result, we could control the average arrival time and average recovery time within 1 minute and control the variation to within ± 0.1%.In the future research, we need to more data of the characteristic body movement patterns in the hypoxic environment by using our O2-concentration control system.

In the previous study, it was suggested that listening to music could be an effective study break. Since we often image music in our daily life, we would like to investigate brain activity at listening and imagining music. Brain activities in three types of music (uplifting song, relaxing song, classical music) under both conditions of listening to the music (direct stimuli) and imagining the music were determined from 10-channel wearable optical topography. As a result, It was suggested that there is no difference in the degree of relaxation at listening and imagining music that is usually listened to. Also, being able to accurately imagining music may be an important factor in the relaxation effect.

New image processing procedure of analysis of body movements in early stages of chick embryos was attempted. In order to detect the center of gravity of the chick embryo, we focused on not only the head movement pattern but also the whole movements pattern of embryos. Although the present image processing procedure detected the center of gravity of chick embryo, its movements did not represent correct body movement because embryos usually moved around the center of gravity (that is, the axis of the movement). Additionally, blood vessel should be removed from embryos’ template images.

We continued to improve our previous research. It is improvement of the system which automatically detects fire and performs initial fire fighting. This system is attached to the digestive device of existing products. In this system, the nozzle is automatically directed to the fire position and automatically extinguished if it is judged to be a fire. Infrared cameras are used to judge fire, fire is determined by image processing. After extinguishing the fire, the fire information is transmitted to the smartphone via the user. In this paper, we improved this system. As a result, by installing a fire extinguisher on the ceiling, it was possible to detect a wider range of fires and extinguish the fire.
