A thin metallic film video tape has been manufactured by a vacuum deposition by the use of semicontinuous winding device. The quality of the picture obtained from this tape was equivalent to that from conventional video tapes. The setups of the semicontinuous winding device are described, together with the prominent feature of the method of vacuum deposition with continuously varied angle of incidence, and the magnetic properties and the performance of this video tape.
