Abstract
This paper uses the AI mini-interview, an interactive approach, using 3 Chinese characters
to improve the quality of teachers and child care workers in the Teaching-Procession Practical
Seminar, being carried out on their reflections after their teaching practice. In order to verify
the effects, a child care worker self-reflection scale, a self-assessment scale and reflection on the
course were used and analyzed both before and after the AI Mini-interviews.
No significant variation was found in the effect on the 16 second year students in the teacher/
child worker course at a women’s’ junior college, however it was found that:
1. With regard to the measure of self-reflection as a child care worker, the score after the
seminar had increased for “self-reflection as a child care worker”, while the scores for
“reflections on the children” and “reflections on relationships with others” had decreased.
2. On their self-evaluations, the scores for “listening to what the other person said” had
increased.
3. From their reflections on the course and its practical component, a tendency to review their
views of child care workers was noticed.
From this it was noticed that, due to the inter-active approach, they undertook the practical
training in a positive way and also increased their awareness of child care workers.
