In this paper, a three-dimensional elasto-plastic response analysis on impact loading tests of a full-scale rockfall protection fence with base plate was performed, and an applicability of the proposed analysis method was verified by comparing with the ex-perimental results. Furthermore, impact response analyses were carried out using two types of the rockfall protection fences under the same impact energy, and the pro-tection performance of the rockfall protection fence with base plate was investigated comparing with that of the conventional fence. The results obtained from this study were as follows: 1) dynamic response characteristics of the fence can be properly sim-ulated and 2) it was numerically confirmed that performance of the rockfall protection fence with base plates was almost similar to that of the conventional fence.
