In autonomous decentralized systems, messages are exchanged between subsystems via networks. While the configuration has the great effect of reducing traffic, this is also a source of security problems and some of them can be very serious. If we consider ECUs connected via CAN or other in-vehicle networks constitute an autonomous decentralized system, then the recent problems of CAN bus attacks and theft of automobiles using immobilizer cutters have all occurred on in-vehicle networks. Thefts using code grabbers and relay attacks are also occurring with smart keys, and the security of messages exchanged between subsystems is the root of the problem. In this report, we propose a theoretical solution using a pseudo-random number generator and a hash function.
