This paper deals with a three dimensional flutter analysis and wind-tunnel experiment of a cantilevered rectangular sheet between two side walls subjected to axial fluid flow. The influence of the gap ratio and aspect ratio on the flutter velocity and frequency are clarified. The unsteady fluid force acting on the sheet surface is calculated by using Doublet-point method, which is based on unsteady lifting surface theory. Then, the effect of side walls is added utilizing the mirror-image method. The local work done by the fluid force acting on the sheet surface is determined analytically.
