An exploratory study was conducted by analyzing the actual living conditions on the demand side and real estate property datasets on the supply side to elucidate the appropriate floor plans and rents that young working households would occupy. The appropriate rent for the units before the renovation was 69905 yen, which was lower than the rental price of 71000 yen, according to the hedonic price model. After implementing the floor plan modification, whose expected rents were 72741 yen for 1DK and 80917 yen for 1LDK, we received applications for all three units, suggesting the effectiveness of this method.
