This paper treats the wear of every parts of buildings, especially in the severe condition of nature in order to compare with general condition. It will be contributed to the fundamental data for building maintenance. In this case, 26 radio relay office buildings standing in the mountain or seaside were selected and the wear of finishings of them were surveyed by mainly outside observation. Particulaly, leaking of rain, crack, painting, etc. were observed precisely through grading (scale of gravity). The main results obtained were as follows. 1. Generally, the wear of finishings in such places are more progressive than in general places. 2. Cracks apper excessive in buildings aged more than 5 years and are accompanied with efflorescence particulaly. In columns which are shouldered with steel tower of micro antenna, cracks appeared horizontally a distance of 15-35cm. 3. As a relation with the rate of leaking of rain and ages, the one in such places are pretty progressive than in general places. But grade leaking of rain have no eviden relation with ages. 4. As the wear of painting, there are hardly change between in such places and in genneral places. But a height above the sea-level is one of the facter of wear. 5. It is necessary to practice a completion test and periodical test which is same as wear survey and to accumulate their career in order to apply their data above mentioned successfully for intended maintenance.
