Analytical and experimental investigations on biaxial bending of H-columns are reported. Reports consist of three parts. In Part I there are described on numerical analysis of H-columns subjected to thrust load and biaxial bending neglecting torsional effect. Experimental investigations and accurate analysis with account of torsional effect is reported in Part II and Part III. In the elastic-plastic analysis of this paper approximate procedure are used to satisfy the equilibrium equation at N's points in the member. Numerical results are presented in the form of interaction curves for arbitrary moment distributions. These results are compared with experimental and analytical results with torsional effect in the following reports.
