I discovered a historical document related to Uhei IKEGAMI in “Kaga-Han Odaiku Watanabe-Ke Monjyo (The Watanabe family’s documents)”
The origin that the document was written is clear, and it is highly reliable by checking with the other historical documents. It is one of a few valuable historical documents pertaining to carpenters in the early period of Kaga-Han.
As for the time when Uhei IKEGAMI drew “Tenshu-Sashizu”, until now it had been supposed that it was before the end of Kanbun Era (1673), but this document indicates that it was possibly after the 4th year of Enpo (1676).
