The purpose of this paper is to clarify the relationship between tea ceremony room in Kezo-ji Temple in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, and the “Fumai-ryu” school of tea ceremony rooted in Matsue City, using two perspectives: analysis of the process of establishment, and comparative analysis of size systems. In conclusion, it was not clear that the Kezo-ji tea ceremony room was created by Fumai. However, we found that it is deeply related to the tea house by Fumai, and there is no doubt that it is a space for Fumai’s use.
