A survey system by using PC has been developed for contingent valuation method. In the system, PC program guides a subject to answer questionnair with explanation by narrations from a headphone and sentences displayed on a monitor. The system has been applied to a contingent valuation method and an analytical hierarchy process for an open space in an agricultural district. Some tests were carried out for 494 subjects and the results indicates the method is effective for CVM in terms of explanation of contingent market, control of questionnair brunches and automation of preprocessing data.
