This paper aims to improve the method of evaluating urban landscape composition using genetic algorithm that had been developed in our laboratory. Various types of actual landscapes corresponding to 6 classes of 19th century european landscape paintings are simulated by using the proposed prototype method. From the simulation results, it is found that there are some problems in the influence of parameters of the fitness to landscape by distance and the stability of the sub-optimal configuration of the elements. For solving these problems, the effect of weights of the parameters on the configuration is examined and the incorporation of the fitness to the configuration of actual landscape elements into the function is proposed. Finally, concrete suggestions for preparation of actual landscapes is derived from the simulation results using the proposed function with more suitable weights of parameter.
