water adsorption on allophane samples (KnP and KyP) was examined under relative humidity (RH) from 0 to 98%. The adsorption isotherm coincided with langmuir equation up to 0.52 RH. There was a similar decrease in water adsorption at monolayer level. The decomposition of imogolite undermined the IR band at 348cm-1 and XRD at 2.25 and 1.40Å due to high temprature and was found absent at 400℃. The XRD at 3.3-3.45Å moved to 3.6Å due to thermal condensation of silica.
