The establishment of an exclusive bus lane has significant operational and infrastructural challenges, primarily due to its initial deployment as an ad-hoc augmentation to the EDSA-MRT3 services. Transit stops are not optimally designed to accommodate passengers, resulting in excessive queueing, prolonged bus dwell times, and service irregularities. This study evaluates the network performance of the EDSA Busway across key transport and traffic metrics. A methodological framework is employed, integrating the mobile crowdsourcing application alongside onboard diagnostics devices for real-time data gathering and analysis of bus operational parameters. Furthermore, this study integrates the microsimulation tool to replicate actual busway conditions and conduct scenario-based analyses aimed at optimizing network performance. The findings underscore the necessity of data-driven policy interventions to enhance the efficiency and reliability of EDSA Busway operations.
