We have developed an optical video disk recorder using a φ 120mm phase-change disk. We have attained 4.1GB storage data capacity on oneside disk and 27.3Mbps video net bit rate. In such high density and high bit rate recorder, low vibration perfomance of spindlemotor is requisite. Then we have analized vibration mode on the disk-machine, and improved the vibration characteristics.
