The transformation of educational content and methods based on individually optimal, proactive, and collaborative learning is progressing. Hardware planning can be an element of learning media because space has the power to communicate the intention of its use to people and guide their actions(affordance). With this power, it is required to inspire and embrace transformation and new learning in schools. The basic requirements of the space are diversity of form, openness and continuity, common use, functional and territorial overlap, and flexibility. In addition to spatial planning, it is essential to provide learning media, such as furniture and teaching
materials, to implement new learning practices. The entire school should become a ubiquitous learning space with a network of learning media. Furthermore, in planning school-community collaborative activities, integrated schools, and compulsory education schools, it is necessary to have unique plans based on the expansion of people, things, and services related to schools.
