Decentralized ID and RBAC-based Policy Agent for establishing Web3

Abstract

Authentication and authorization in the Web3 architecture requires a shift from centralized identity to self-sovereignty. It is necessary to switch to a decentralized ID system that uses distributed IDs, and to develop a resource control mechanism that leads to the decentralized ID system. As a mechanism, We propose a policy agent in the Web3 environment. We show a policy description method and resource control protocol using RBAC, and show an evaluation environment using a distributed ledger.
