強風時における小型垂直軸風車の自立運転

In this paper, operation method for small vertical axis wind turbine is proposed. In the proposed wind turbine the output power is controlled by the step-down chopper. In general the control system of wind turbine stops generation when the wind speed exceeds 25m/s. However, in this paper, the generator is rotated at a low speed, and it continues generation when the wind speed is more than 25m/s. The advantage of the proposed method is that it can reduce the effect of a sudden load change. In addition, it is possible to improve the recovery rate of wind energy.
