Effect of a Backing Conductor with U-shaped Notches on the Reflection Phase Characteristics of the Meta-surface

抄録

This paper proposes a meta-surface having a backing conductor with U-shaped notches and discusses the effect on the reflection phase characteristics. The proposed backing conductor can improve the reflection phase suffering from the complex diffraction at the edge. As the result, the meta-surface with the proposed backing conductor has a uniform reflection phase everywhere above the surface.
