It has been considered that the rheumatic diseases affects the cervical spine as time goes by. To recognize detailed changes, 3.5 times magnification tomography is suitable. As for the orbit of the X-ray tube, the trispiral motion is found to be good, and the exposure angle of "34-29-24" is the best among "34-17-0", "34-26-18" and "34-29-24". A front view of upper cervical vertebral spine is obtained by placing the anthropological base line of the head perpendicular to the film. A lateral view should be taken at the accurate lateral position because the measurement of A.D.I. is the main purpose in this examination.
