The stress radiography of ankle joint is a means which find a ligamentous lesion by stressing ankle joint and measuring talar tilt. This method is very useful as a screening examination. The patient's foot is fixed on the surgeon need not keep the foot during the examination. We understand the valve of this unit, because we could find out ligamentous lesions and neglected fractures if they are taken by simple radiographs. This unit was originated by Dr. Y. Shibata, division of orthopaedic surgery, Kainan Hospital.
