A X-ray table that is being used in radiographing takes the part of bed. It is used to lay patient still on it during exposure. Even now this role has not changed since X-rays were used in medical purpose. Today various types of X-ray table devised for special uses, for example, for children, the head, ACG, and urography. Radiographic technology made a quantum leap with the advent of the moving grid in 1920 by Dr. Potter. This innovation provided a great improvement in radiographic technique in terms of contrast and definition followed by a reduction of scattered radiation. In this paper, I would like to mention about how the regulations of X-ray diagnostic table is enacted in Japan, and the history of excluding scattered radiations.
