Some efforts to make development of a digital archive system - ADEAC

Abstract

ADEAC (A System of Digitalization and Exhibition for Archive Collections) is a platform system that will began operations in October 2008 by the TRC-ADEAC Inc. Currently, 88 institutions, such as libraries and universities, provide various historical materials through ADEAC. For example, Internet users can browse high-quality image data, and cross-retrieve for all text data on ADEAC for free. In this technical report, we will outline the improvement of the current ADEAC, not only Interface and accuracy retrieval functions but also IIIF and web accessibility, and introduce the case of the five representative institutions.
