AI for Science is transforming research into data-driven and algorithmically mediated processes, creating demand for new research support professionals. However, existing training programs remain fragmented and lack integration of technical, institutional, and ethical competencies. This study proposes an integrated competency and education model for research support personnel, focusing on data curators and AI scientists. Using a design-oriented approach based on literature review and institutional analysis, we develop a competency matrix structured around three dimensions: technical skills, institutional understanding, and ethical judgment. We further propose a three-layered curriculum model and an organizational framework linking university support units. A pilot implementation design illustrates the feasibility of the model. The study contributes to science policy and higher education by providing a scalable framework for workforce development in AI-driven research.
