Ground surface was simulated with two types of grinding wheel; the one has uniformly distributed abrasive grains, the other randomly distributed ones. The effect of the distribution of abrasive grains on ground surface was simulated by the accumulation of material removal of each active grain by taking spring contact of grain mounting into account. It is revealed that probability density of active grains can be made to have maximum value less than 1 μm with uniformly distributed grains.
