This paper reports noticing circular holes, which are always applied to reducing weight and connect channel in cylindrical shell structures. Thin cylindrical shells with circular holes causes to fall this strength. Therefore, holding this vibration characteristic will find a solution to make holes. This research analyzed the natural frequency characteristics and effects of the circular holes of thin cylindrical shells by FEM analysis and experimental. As a result, the authors verified when the shell was thin and the hole was near the clamp end, the effects of holes increase. Consequently, thin cylindrical shells with circular holes need reinforcement around the clamp end.
