In the present study, we dealt with a finishing machining plane surface by ball nose end-milling with a five-axis controlled machining center. The condition is a surface roughness constant of Rz 0.5 μm considering both feed and pick feed rates. In addition, this machining was performed under a constant angle between the tool and the workpiece. We propose a new method that reflects concentric circles as a method to evaluate the surface using a near-infrared radiation image. The setting of an appropriate amount of feed and pick was clearly necessary.
