Image segmentation is the basis of image processing, which is in heavy use for pre-processing of image recognition and analysis. There is an effective algorithm, called a co-occurrence matrix-based image segmentation algorithm (referred to COMSIS algorithm). The authors extended the co-occurrence matrix from a one-dimensional feature to a multi dimensional feature vector in the last paper. In this paper, the authors furthermore examined the COMBIS algorithm, especially, paying attention to an assignment of the boundary pixels.
