The core hardware parts of the ceiling mobile life support robot have been developed. In order not to intrude into living space as much as possible, this robot uses ceiling space, which people do not usually use. This robot consists of the horizontal mobile platform and manipulator, in addition to the framework and rails. Using single pipes for the robot's rails and framework makes it easy to install the robot in a room. The manipulator has seven degrees of freedom and is mounted downward in the horizontal mobile platform. It is folded compactly when not in operation. At the time of operation, its tip position is able to reach most areas of the room.
