This paper reports on the mechanical reproduction of the sensorimotor network in animals, which consists of muscles, receptors, and nerves. The network consists of pneumatic artificial muscles, receptor devices, and nerve devices, and the reflex path can be switched by changing the weights (regulator pressure in the channel) of the network. Experiments show that the sensory-motor network embedded in the robot leg and the body dynamics can produce walking-like leg movements.
