When designing timber products the management of timber resources should be considered; the current opinion on wood conservation and the efficient use of timber from forest thinning and timber quality are a big issues. The core of this research is based on the above subject, examining not just one species, but several species of wood, which are cut in to veneer, dyed and which is then pressed in to a three dimensional form. In this way, decorative patterns using dyed LVL are made. Until recently, recomposed veneers have not been able to be manufactured in a visually pleasing radius or three dimensional curve, thus, timber manufacturing methods have increased. Therefore, the relationship between these aesthetic issues and production issues are the focus of this paper.
